A rose is a rose..

Today I was in The Dalles taking photographs for a client of her children. The rose garden was still in full bloom at Sorosis Park on top of the hill in town so I decided to stop and get a few shots. I really like the one that I am posting, the color is so rich and vibrant. It was quite a gray day and the wind was howling. Enjoy!

Ok, so I wasn't so good with the 1 photo per week. A lot has been happening and not a lot of time has been left for taking photographs. I did manage to sneak in a few shots while visitng Astoria over the weekend. The weather was not particularly helpful being mostly grey and overcast. I happen to get this shot, right by the hotel we stayed at, farily early in the morning before the clouds covered the entire sky. I did do a bit of photo manipulation with it, combining 2 photos 1 overexposed and 1 underexposed, then adjusting color/saturation/etc. Hope you enjoy it.

FYI- The bridge is 4 miles long (I had a bet and won!)

First post and first photo of the week

This being the first of my photo of the week posts, I have decided to start with one that I took on the 4th of July of the fireworks. This was my frist time trying to capture fireworks and I think I got some fairly interesting shots. I like the effect I got in this shot of the ground bloom flower circling and changing colors. Please feel free to critique.
